Canon PowerShot A580 allows beginners to create wonderful photos with this 8.0-megapixel digital camera. This entry level camera is perfect for someone that wants more zoom than the usual 3x zoom. This camera has a 4x optical zoom with automatic and semi-automatic settings. For simple and convenient shooting it provides a bright 2.5-inch LCD and 16 easily selectable shooting modes..

Features include Motion Detection Technology which automatically reduces blur by calculating subject movement and selecting ideal exposure and ISO settings.

The new Easy Mode is available exclusively with the PowerShot A590 IS and A580 models. It simplifies camera operation even more than the standard Full Auto mode. Tthe active control buttons are limited to two – the shutter button with zoom lever and the flash on/off button. The number of informational icons on the camera’s display is reduced.

The Easy Mode eliminates any confusion and enables beginners to capture memorable moments without being intimidated by the camera’s capabilities.

The new Sunset shooting mode is included as part of the cameras’ offered Special Scene modes. Whether indoors or out; in day or night light (and now with the Sunset setting, in-between too) these A- series cameras “know” how to take the best pictures in a vast array of shooting situations.

The PowerShot A580 Digital Camera Kits

The kit has an estimated retail price of $149.99 and includes:

Two standard AA alkaline batteries
